Greetings Hillsboro, Ohio Pickleball Fans!
It's been a few weeks so we want to bring you up to speed. Briefly, here is what the board has been working on.
1. Drafting an agreement between our organization and the City of Hillsboro that clearly defines each party's responsibilities and expectations as well as a specified period of time we are guaranteed to have control of the facility. This is crucial and must be done before we can do anything else such as sell memberships, fundraise, etc. We will meet with them on July 24.
2. Filling out required paperwork for our 501 (c) 3 application and working with the Foundation Group to submit our application.
3. Discussing and debating types of memberships; sponsorship levels for donors; fundraising plans, signage for major sponsors and donors and getting ideas from other successful Pickleball clubs.
4. Designing the best possible layout for our facility and getting bids from contractors.
Mostly, we want you to know we have been very busy and appreciate all of you! Your help will be necessary once we get these things finalized.
