About the event
Here’s a simple outline for a Basic 1st Pickleball Lesson (30 minutes). It keeps things fun, approachable, and gets new players rallying quickly:
Minute 0–5: Welcome & Introduction
Quick explanation: What is pickleball, size of the court, how the paddle & ball differ from tennis/ping pong.
Show how to hold the paddle (continental “handshake grip” is easiest to start).
Safety: No running backward, call “Ball!” if stray ball rolls in.
Minute 5–10: Warm-Up & Basic Contact
